Hon Mr. E Irving, the Director of Education, presided at a meet- ing of the Board of Education held in the Sanitary Board room yester day. There were also present, the Rev. T. W. Pearce, the Rev. A. D. Stewart, the Rev. Fr. H. Valtorts, Mr. S. W. Tso, Mr. N. T. Mackin- tosh, Mr. A. F. B. Silvs-Netto, Mr. U. Rumjahn, Dr. Wan Man-kai. Mr. B. Wylie. Mrs. Hickling. Mr. H. B, L. Dowbiggin. Mr. E. Ralphs, Mr. A. R. Cavalier and the Secretary, | Mr. Y. P. Law.
Mr. Wylie asked how many of the seven assistant masters and; nine assistant mistresses to be added to the staff for 1924 had been appointed since the previous meet-. ing of the Board?
