The annual Pike's Peak (U. S. A.) hill climb is conducted under A.A.A. sanction and is for non- Istock cars with cash prizes of $500 and 8200 in each of the three events. The climb starts at an (altitude of 9,150 feet and ends at 14,109 feet, with grades ranging from 7 to 101 per cent. There are sixty curves on the course. but the road is trém 20 to 30 feat wide.
