The Imperial Government, in a manifesto, refuse to recognise the Bavarian overthrow and states that measures will be carried out ruthlessly to stamp out the movement. The Government will eat aff communication with Bavaria.

Von Seeckt has been appointed commander-in-chief of the Reich defence forces, with full powers to take the necessary stepa for the security of the Reich.

BORNEO BLAST FURNACES

The newspaper Financieria correspondent at Amsterdam states that a preliminary agreement has recently been concluded between a financial group and the Dutch Indian Government for the estab lishment of blast furnaces in South-East Borneo, each participating in the proportion of two-fifths. The aggregate capital of the new company will be fifty million erics of which twenty million will be issued. The greater part of the capital will be British while American.
