Two Years Search For [M.P.'s Descendants,

The story of a romantic search for the heir to a fortune of £17, 000,000, which reads diketem [chapter of a novel, by Wilkie Collins, bas just been disclosed fat Preston.

Seventy claimants have come forward for a share in the fortuns of Nickolas Fazackerlay MP. for Preston 1723-1767-which is now estimated to amount to the vast sum stated.

A meeting of these claimante will be held at Preston on Satur day, when steps to be taken to secure the millions will be dir cussed.

The estate is said to ideláda part of Bootle and Faiickerley, in Liverpool district, as, wall &] valuable sites in London.

Each of the 70 claimants 'anti- cipates receiving a quarter mil- tion if the claim succeeds. 7.

Nickolas Fazackerly, it is stat ed, leit no, direct hair, and the claimants say that under his will his relatives, of whom they are the assets should have gone to

descendants.

The claimants Bre widely scattered, including 16 in Gorton, an accountant in Manchestar, and people in Preston, Liverpool, Lancashire, America, New South Wales, and New Zealand.

Considerable parts of the estates have been sold by the trustees, but the money-ceived for the sales has been deposited in banks, and efforts are being made to trace where the money lies,
