LOSS OF THE "MARVALE."
The Court of Inquiry's Finding,
(Reuter'■ Service.} "'.
London, August 16. The court of inquiry into the loss of the Marvale, last May, has found that the casualty was due to a grave error of judgment on the «captain's part, owing to his over-confidence regarding the position of
the vessel. Nevertheless the captain is not censured.
The court expressed its appreciation of the very efficient manner in which the passengers and crew were taken off the wreck, and expressed the opinion that this was one indication of the general efficiency with which the vessel was commanded.
