London, July 14. C. D. Barnard was disqualled at Manchester for not, crossing the line. Courtney arrived first at Bristol, Broad was eight seronds behind and then came Cobham, F. Barnard and Hemming.

The 13 miles return journey started this morning. Broad was, first to arrive at Manchester, followed by Longton and Courtney. Carter, who was fifth, was obliged to retire owing to a broken landing wire which upset his rigging.

Later. Courtney won, Cobham being second. Courtney's average for the whole journey of 810 miles was 149.3, an increase of twenty miles per hour over last year's fastest flying. His total flying time was 5 hours 26 mins. 27 secs. Cobham's time was 5 hours 35 mins. 25 secs. Bread, who was third, took 7 hours 20 mins. 59 secs. Barnard was fourth.
