A Doctor says:

"I do not think so good a food as Claxo" can be brought before the public by the medical profession too strongly."

Claxo is the food doctors recommend and rear their own babies on. This is because Glaxo is not an "artificial" food, but is just pure, uncontaminated milk made safe and suitable for baby by the Glaxo process. Glaxo contains NO malt, NO four, NO starch.

NOVELTY TRIMMINGS.

Narrow ribbon, with a scallop- ed edge, is being sold in great quantities in all the big Parisian shops. Three rows of it, in shades that tone, make a delightful border as a trimming to a dress or coat.

An insertion ribbon of shot; colourings with a runner through the middle of the ribbon makes an excellent ruching for a hat or frock, and creates quite a good: affect of stitched petals when it is fucted up. The edges of this losertion are slightly pointed, and these, when drawn up, give the effect of an uneven line.

As well as ribbon ruching, there are ruchings of material being let into soft summer frocks, as- pecially those made of silk oropas of organdia. Catherine wheels as well as stripe are made of ruchings.

Lattice work, formed by cross- ing bands of doubled material, is another popular form of trimming dresses, hats and underclothes.

BRIDAL FASHIONS.

Although the fashion for eatin vived, wedding dresses of chiffon, and stiff brocades has been re- georgette, or tulle are equally fashionable.

Pearl

HOSIERY NOVELTIES.

The new silk bosiery designed to wear with the fashionable alligator and lizard skin shoes, is partio- ularly attractive. This ahows a narrow stripe of black and silver, or black and fawn colour, or brown and champagne, running from the knee to the toe of the stocking, forming a combination of colour that is thoroughly in harmony with the marking of the lizard skin.

The latest fashion in shoes is a patent leather shoe strapped across the front, and tound with lizard skin, Louis heel covered in lizard skin completing the B&me. Many smart stockings are made of brown silk; with drop-stitch ladders of ine metallic gold thread or silver silk with ladder lines of silver tlasel. Other hosiery novelties include black

Brides adopt chaplets of silver leaves or little diadem-froated tiaras of orangeblossom to keep their veils in place.

Although skirts of bridal gowns are often cut short-especially in the case of very youthful brides- several big Parisian designers are introducing full-length wedding gowns of more stately appearance,
