Proposal to Run a League. Representatives of a number of baseball clube in the Colony met in the offea of Messrs. J. M...... da Rocha and Co. Connaught Ruad, last evening, for the purpose of discursing the formation of a Hongkong Haseball Asscoiation and the running of a League during the coming season.

Representatives wern - prezant from the Hongkong American Baseball Club, the Club de Recreio the Club Lusitano, M. B. K., the Japanese Young Men's Association the Japanese Club, the Indians Recreation Club and South Chinm Athletic Association.

Mr. R. M. s Rocha (Club de Recreio), who, with one or two others, was mainly responsible for calling the meeting, explained that the object was to popilarise baae- ball in the Colony by starting a league. They wanted to make baseball the leading summer sport, as football was the leading winter) sport.
