Zam-Buk is entirely free from the ani- mal fats found in common ointments and salves. When Zam-Buk is applied to the skin, lestering is stopped, inflam- mation and irritation allayed, and sores and eruptionsdisappear as by magic.

There are scores of common, älilic- tions like eczema, paisaned wounds, Delhi sores, bad legs, diseased ankles, ulcers, burns, scalis, bites and foot sores which need Zam-Buk to draw out corruption and grow new skin. work of exceptional beauty and distinction. When evil days felt upon this quarter of London, the state be- came a ruin in a wilderness. In the summer of 1876, however, local benevolence converted the wilderness once more into a garden, and the status into an un- conventional gift. This relic was in fact transferred to the grounds of Mr. Frederick Goodall, R. A., at Graemes Dyke (now Grim'sDyke), Harrow Weald, together with what has been described as artistically carved pedestal-the original one that was in Soho- square." At that time, those grounds were being laid out by Mr. Philip Norman, who selected a place for the statue at the side of the widest part of the water of the Dyke; and "very myster- ious and weird" it seemed to him there in the twilight as it cast its reflection across the lake. The residence at Graemes Dyke' was sold by Goodall to Herict the banker, and from him it passed to W. S. Gilbert. There is melancholy interest in the. circumstance that it was in this lake that Gilbert'surrendered bis life in the endeavour to save a guest from drowning.
