The Option for the acquisition of such land bears date the 5th day of March 1923 and is made between Lane Crawford Limited as Vendors of the one part and Mr. W. E. L. Shenton, one of the partners in the firm of Deacon, Harston and Shenton the above mentioned Solicitors to the Company, as Trustee for the Company of the other part. A copy of this Option and the subsequent cor-: respondence thereon can be inspected at the offices of the said Solicitors to the Company (No. 1 Des Voeux Road Central, Hongkong) at any time during business hours. A copy of the Mortgage above referred to which bears date the 5th day of May 1922, and is for a term of Five years from that date can also be inspected at the same place; and time.
There are no other Contracts relating to the land to be acquired by the Company.
On the land to be acquired as above by the Company it is proposed to erect a modern seven-storied building with a Basement, so as to afford accommodation for Stores, Shops, a Safe Deposit Vault and First class Office Rooms, particularly suitable to professional' people. The Site is considered to be specially favourable for such a building, being in the centre of the business part of the City, and close to the Hotels, Banks and Shipping Offices, etc."/ (b) In respect of the above mentioned Option à brokerage of 1% on the purchase price of $1,000,000. amounting to $10,000 is payable by the Company to the Solicitors to the Company in respect of the sale of the land the subject of such Option.

Easter Aquatic Programme.
As in past years, the Victoria. Recreation Club will contribute appreciably to the Easter holiday programme this week-end.
The Victoria Regatta is to be held.as usual, and the programme is an interesting one, with its success assured by gratifying entries, The regatta will be held, as hitherto, at Black Boulder Point, Kowloon Bay, and there will be launches to convey the public thither. These will depart from Murray Pier every hour.
The Regatta commences at -2.30. p.m. on Saturday, and continues at 11a.m. on Easter Monday. Those who wish to have tiffin sup- plied them on that daymay arrange therefor at the V.R.C with payment of $1.25 per head.
