Novel Salads.

A delicious salad is made with crisp lattues leaves, grapes pealed and the pips removed, a few pine kernels scattered over, and the whole covered with lightly whisked cream seasoned with salt, white pepper and a dash of cayenne.

Another excellent mixture is lettuce and cucumber with stoned French plums and a cream dress-

ing asasoned with salt pepper, a pinch of sugar and a squeeze of lemon juice.

Again, lettuce and pineapple with chopped walnuts, cream dreaming.

A mixed salad seasonable just now is made from apples, celery, beetroot and nats, covered with zasoned cream to which a spoon- ful of Chilli vinegar has been added. The vinegar is to be bought la small bottles from say good grocer.

Any mixture of lettuce, ĕress And fruit is scceptable with the [delicate cream dressing mention-

ed above.

TURBANS FOR EVENING WEAR.
