A sensational forecast, regarding the future, is made by Str Mackay Edgar. When interviewed on his return from America, he declared that the American demand for oil, metals, and cotton WIS increasing at such a rate that a worldwide shortage was inevitable.
He pointed out that the United States at present was consuming 70 per cent of its own cotton crap. He crined that the time is ap proaching when America will import cotton. As regards oil, she has already reachid the importing stage.
