At the inquest at Cardif on Yee Sing, proprietor of a Chinese laundry, who was found dead in bed with three English girls, sisters. at his side, the police stated there were no traces of opium or other drugs found on the premises,
One of the girls gave evidence that she had whisky and tea and became dazed
The verdict was that death was due to heart disease, accelerated by opium poisoning. The jury recommended that the Coroner com- municate with the authorities to secure for the police wider powers

Carpentier has telegraphed to Le Matik, accepting in principle the offer of the French business-men of a purse of 300,000 francs for a return fight with Siki, all the money to be giren to scientific laboratories.
Siki writes to say that he is willing to meet Carpentier for to the conditions honour and agrees
