There are signs of trouble brewing in Western Thrace. The Turkish reports of simultaneous revolt in three places have been hitherto largely discredited, but the "New Orient Express" has been derailed between Adrianople and Luleburgas, which points to serious disturbances.

U.S.SHIP SUBSIDY BILL.

Washington, Nov. 30. Mr. Jones, Chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee, has called a meeting for Monday next to begin consideration of the ship Subsidy Bill. The Bill will probably be presented to the Senate at an early date.

London, Nov. 30.

It is reported from Washington that the House of Represea- tatives, before passing the Shipping Subsidy Bill. amended it so that the amount for subsidy purposes must be voted annually.

Doubt is expressed whether the Senate will be able to pass. the Bill before the adjournment, on December 3, owing to the persistent continuation of the Democratic Allbuster against the Dyer Anti-Lynching Bill.

There is believed to be a possibility of the formation of a new political bloc Party, indicated in the encuncement--that a Pro- gressive Conference is convened for to-morrow at: which thirteen

are expected to be present. The Conference was convened by Senator Lafollette and Republican Representative Huddleston.
