London, Oct. 28.

Mr. Lloyd George, opening his Scottish campaign at Glasgow, said that he and the nation were still bewildered, and still awaiting. some reputable explanation of the wanton set of sabotage that bad destroyed the Coalition. His present, and he hoped, his future friend, Mr. Bonar Law, had failed to show that there had been any difference in the late Government regarding questions of principle and policy. The "Diabards" were bot the only people, demanding a change. If a partixth victory were watched in this election, that would not be the end. for the Labourite manifesto, which would appeal to millions, was a formidable challenge of alternative socialistic government.

Speaking for himself and his friends, he would do his utmost to avert the worst evils of such a bad blender, and he trusted that ́s how ready is monize saxone who wishes soothing would be done at the Ganeral Election that would make it snah bim on the following disesers, Ti difficult even impossible, for men like bimself, who believed in "old, Carb, liradache. INTER-ALLIED DEBTS.

London, Oct. 28.

A message from New York states that a feature of the speeches at the Convention of the American Manufacturers' Export Associa tion was the emphasis that the United States development of a greater demand for its products in North America and Asia would not alone suffice to restore prosperity, because those countries, were unable to buy from America so long as Europe was unable to buy their products.

The Convention passed a resolution recommending the United State: Chamber of Commerce to call an International Conference of business men to discuss the inter-Allied debt problem and to publish their conclusions.
