CHINA'S RE-ELECTION TO LON. COUNCH.

Interview with Delegate.

(Bruter's Service.)

Contmard from Page 1)

London, October 1.

Mr. Chao Hsin-chu, the Chinese Charge d'Affaires and delegate to Geneva interviewed by Reuter on his return from Geneva, expressed the Chinese delegation's satisfaction at the re-election of China as a Lon-permanent member of the Council of the League of Nations, which was partly due to the delegation's resolution regard- ing the allocation of seats in accordance with the principle of geographical representation, China, being naturally selected to represent Asia.

Mr. Chão referred to the good feeling manifested by all the [delegates at Geneva towards Dr. Wellington Koo, sod described the, delegation's efforts as regards opium. He said that China's reserva tion regarding the maintenance of a naval force sufficient to defend ber-long cost would be discussed at the international naval disarm- ament conference to be summoned shortly by the Council of the league.
