At the banquet celebrating the jubilee of the Eastern and Associated Cable Companies the Duke of York paid tribute to the services of the Eastern during the adding that the spirit of loyal co-operation, which had per- mested the whole organisation whether of the staff at home or the exiles abroad (Cheers), had justified the belief that the cam panies could celebrate their jubilee in unqualified toufidence.
