In all 10 r vessels the machinery Is similar, apart from the slight difference in the Domals nen tioned above. The auxiliary plant is also repeated on each vessel. In other directions & similar tendency towards standardized motorship, construction is to ba noted. The 14,000-ton motorship Glanbeg, which ran her trials à few weeks ago in the Clyde, is the fourth of six winter ships to b completed this year, representing he largest type of motor vessel flost and equipped with machin- ry of 6400 h.p. Again, Ma9478. Doxford Tre no completing their third 3,000 h.p. single-screw 9,500- ton ip for the Trans-Atlantic Steamship Company, and in there joanen also the balls and machin- ery sre of similar design broughout. Another large pass enger liner will shortly be launch- don'the Clyde, this being a vessel 50-ft. in length and equipped with machinery of 6,000 hp.
