MURE MURDERS IN IRELAND.

CIGARETTES

London, April 28.

Three prominent citizens of Dunmanway, County Cork, respec- tively a solicitor, chemist and a former draper, were shot dead in their own houses by a party of armed men, who visited the town late at night. Other residents, including a schoolmaster, were wounded.

The trouble at Mullingar was due to the arrest of six unarmed Free Staters by irregulars, resulting in the Free Staters surround- ing the rebel barracks, after which the fight ended in three being killed and many seriously wounded on both sides. Subsequently the irregulars were overawed by the threat of a greater force, which left Mallinger.

The appeal has been published through the Na-
