Here are shown Vatican officials and members of the ancient families of the Papal nability in attendance at the bier of the late Pope Benedict XV as he lay in state at the Vatican.

Here is shown the tuneral procession as the Pope's body was borne to the Caspel of the Sacrament of St. Peter's.

This unusual photograph shows the late Pope Benedict XV lying in state. The rosary was held in his crossed bands. The body was clothed in the gilded stole, white cape, red chasuble, pontifical pallion and papal tunic with the golden mitre.

"The latest scientific marvel is a range finder which accurately judges the distance of any object at a maximum of 22 miles. It was built by Barr and Stroud in London and will be used in British coast defence. The tube is 199 feet long and moves on a circular track.

Capt. Roald Amundsen, famous for the discovery of the South Pole, bas arrived in New York with two Siberian Eskimo children, whom he brought back from his recent trip through the Northwest Passage. It is bis intention to educate them at Christianis, Norway.
