London, February 28 The progress made by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in considering and recommending the Conference Treaties appents "to have given much satisfaction in the United States. The Com. mittee, with the one exception already telegraphed, has made a -clean sweep of the nullifying and vexatious reservations, to the 'Pacific treaty.

President Harding, according to the Daily Telegraph's New 'York correspondent, does not believe that the reservation adopted i necessary and its only object is to conci iate the irreconcilables. It is uncertain whether the Senate will insist on the reservation, but if has been accepted by the Administration Sapators on the theory that it is in line with what the friends of the Treaty say the Treaty means, and in order to avoid a prolonged Senate fight which might jeopardise ratification. The correspondent adds that indication point to the entire work of the Conference being approved by the

Senate within a month or two.
