London: February H. An important conference on the political situation in India is being held at Deibi, whither the Govercors of Bombay and Madras have proceeded to meet the Vicerov.

No Parleying With Sedition.

Delhi, February 24. In the Legislative Assembly, replying to a question in regard to the Government's policy with a view to a temporary suspension of civil disobedience, Sir W. H. Vincent (Secretary of the Home

Department) said that the Government could discover no indication -of any fundamental change in the attitude of the Non-Co-operators. The enrolment of Volunteers was continuing and seditious pro- paganda was unabated.

Until the illegal activities of the Non-Co-operators had com- pletely ceased the Government's attitude would be unchanged. Those activities had already produced « serious situation, which aight at any moment result in bloodshed and disorder.
