According to information received in London, the steps taken Mr. Dads by the Portuguese Government to avert a militarist revolutionary Mr. Dynasty outbreak timed for the 19th. inst. were effective. Troops were Mr. R. Macgregor brought to Lisban from the provinces. All is quiet, but the Pre- sident and Government remain in the fortress of Casces at the montb of the Tagus.
A message sent from Lisbon to-day confirms that everything is quiet, and says that the Republican Guards have been concentrated at the Arsenal with howitzer batteries and machine-guns in readiness: for any eventuality.
