Strange Career of the

Hon. V. Gibson.

Found sitting dead in a chair. at the Crown Hotel at Horahan, last month, a mysterious Irish. man has been identified as the ernest Victor Gibson, fourth sou of the Erst Baron Ashbourne, and brother of the present peer.

In conversation he bad declar ed that he was a rebel, known under six names in Ireland: Educated at Cambridge And Trinity College. Dublin.

The Dowager Lady Ashbourne, mother of Mr. Gibson, who lives in Basil-street, London, S.W. was unable to see a representa- tive who called. She had, how. ever, prepared the following writ- ten statement-

The Hon. Ernest Victor Gibson had suffered recently from a severe attack of in- fluenza, and had been under medical treatment in London

He was in a weak condition when he left London for Surrey last week.

His friends bere knew nothing of his subsequent movements until the report of nis death in the newspapers. Mr. Gibson was educated at Wellington College, Trinity Col- lege (Dublin), and Trinity College.
