THE EMPRESS OF AUSTRALIA.
The appointment is announced of Capt. Samuel Robinson, R.N.R., as commander of the new Canadian Pacific str. Empress of Australia. Capt. Robinson, who is now on furlough, was in com mand of the Empress of Russia until last summer when he was succeeded by Capt. W. Dizon, Hopcraft. R.D., R.N.R. Capi. Robinson's career with the Can adian Pacific began in 1895 with the Empress of Japan and he has been on the Empress of China, Mocionale,
and Empress of India Darlaz the period of war he commanded Empress of Australia, the former the Empress of Russia. The new German liner Tirpitz, was rece; t ly purchased by the Canadian Pacific from the Reparations.
