An Honoured Name.

One who knows him tells us that Mr. W. E. McKenney, of the Chinese Customs, whom we men-k tioned here yesterday and who is proceeding to Queensland by the Taiyuan on Monday, bears a name greatly honcured in Queensland. His father was of the pioneers of Mackay-the town that was nearly washed out by floods in 1918 and has since been rebuilt- and took a leading share in the public work of that town.
