Minta Durfee, wife of Roscoe Arbuckle, snapped as she left New York for San Francisco to go to her husband. Arbuckle and his wife have lived apart for some time, but he has been paying toward her support and the car shown in this photograph was a present he sent to her.

Philanthropic people of England have brought back from starving Russia hundreds of children, who are being bursed back to health. This picture shows Dr. Isaac Karant of Bow Hrad Hospital, London, giving one of the little refugees the daily examination.
It is claimed that the two Great Western trains which run between Bristol and London, are the fastest trains in the world making long runs. They have been timed travelling the 90.9 miles between Badminton and Southall in 87 minutes. Over & portion of this distance, between Badminton and Wooton-Bassett, the treins cover 17 miles in 13 minutes, a speed of 78.5 miles an hour. This picture from Filape, Latvia, shows Russians, working pader the direction of American Relief Administration officers, loading American food for transport across the border into Russia, where thousands are dying from famine. The bags of food shown here were taken from the supplies already in Europe, where the A. R. A. is feeding babies of other countries. Thus no time was lost in rushing aid to the starvation areas.
