Owing to the rapid rise in the price of foodstuffs, especially off wheat, the Government of India has decided to continue the pro- hibition of the export of wheat and tour, at least till the end of March. In order to prevent depletion of stocks or enhancement of prices, supplies for the military will be as far as possible parchased abroad. In order to encourage private iniports of wheat, rarticularly from Australia and to assist the Indian fleur mill industry, the Government has decided to permit the re-export of imported wheat"
