THE HAMBURO-AMERIKA LINE,

At the general meeting of the, Hamburg-Amerika line at Ham- berg, the dividends for 1919 and 1920 ware 6xed at 8 per cent for each year. The chairman said he could no: recommend Huzo Stinnes for re-election to the board and the latter was accord- ingly not selected. The reason for this step, according to the Vossische Zeitung, is that Stianes, after being elected during the war In the board of directors, look the first opportunity after the war of starting a competitive service to South America, without previous- consulting the Hamburg- Amerika line. Stinnes holds a large number of shares in the latter company.

If this expedition should be successful, it will be the fore- runner of a regular trading service.
