The Commissioner of Customs at Chinkiang, in his report,oh the port for the year 1920. hay (some pertinent remarks regarding the deterioration ofthe Yangtse River generally, and particularly to the present condition of Chinkiang – which, at the moment, is probab- ly the worst sufferer from yearə of neglect.
