Here is where the mob at Tulsa, Okla. U.S.A. first applied the torch. Other buildings in the negro section were fired later and the flames rapidly spread until they wiped out the homes of several thousand persons, most of them negroes. Small picture shows a negro woman being taken from the burned district under protection of guards.
