Frank Beaurepaire, of Aus- tralia, best three world records in one night at the recent swim- ming meet in Honolulu. He covered the mile in23 minutes, 30 and 45 seconds, the 1,500 meters in 21 minutes. 54 and 1-5 seconds, and the 1,000 meters in 14 minutes and 28 seconds.

GIGANTIC GERMAN FLOATING DOCK SURRENDERED,

The buge German floating dock No. 23, delivered under the terms of the Peace Treaty, has just been completed and is berthed at Port Victoria, Sheerness. The total length exceeds 500 feat. Six- teen tugs were employed in bringing the immense structure from Wi.h-lmshaven, and some idea of its huge dimensions may be gathered from the fact that a German submarine dock was brought over inside the dock at the same time, the latter is shown in the centre.
