Gas and Water Mains ·
Blown Up.
The North of England has again been the scene of Sinn Fein devilry, and considerable damage was done. On this occasion the platters attacked railway stations. theatres, shipyards, a garage, and other works, and the most sinister side of the plot was the blowing up of water and gas mains.
Damage amounting to many thousands of pounds was caused by the thirty-one fires in the district, the most extensive being at Stockton and Jarrow.
