There is a new tendency for idis abips, with a tonnage of under 1,000 tons, to be put in active servies owing to the commande- mentofactivity in near-s9ą trades as well as to the setting in of the ishing season. From the Int April to the 17th May, 17 vessala totalling 19,093 tons were tied up in the harbour of Osaka, against which ai vessels totalling 23,734 tons returned to work during the same period.
