Germany Pays First Instalment.

Now York, June 1. The first instalment of Germany's reparation payment to the Allies throu, h the United States amounting to $45,733,000, was to- day placed the Federal Reserve Bank. The German Government, through four New York banks, completed the deposit yesterday.| Payments were not made in actual cash or gold, but in a iransfer of banking credita.

A message from Oopelu states that, despite the Allied High Commission's notification, that Allied troops would be quartered in a district separate from the Germans and Poles, the German general launched an attack in the direction of Grosstroblite and captured the villages of Kalinowitz, Kalinoff, and Kosgiontaw.
