London, May 26. The latest news from Egypt is that all is quiet at Alexandria, Telephonic communication between Alexandria and Cairo is partially restored. The general uneasiness in Cairo' is exemplified by the closing of the shops owing to fear of attack, but the alarm is apparently unnecessary. It is stated, however, that no further British forces will be repatriated from Egypt till the situation clears, while the arsenal and railway shop workers in Cairo have struck and a general railway strike is threatened.
