REV. PETER PARKER, M, D.

The "Father of Medical Missions" was born at Framingham, Mass. He opened the Canton Hospital on November 4th, 1835. Dr. Parker, on February 21, 1838 was prominent in the organization of the Medical, Missionary Society in China. Mrs. Parker was the first foreign woman 'permitted to reside in Canton.

REV. LEUNG FAAT.

Born at Ko-ming, Canton Province, in 1789. He was the first Canton Hospital Evangelist and died in 1855. A large painting of him is suspended in the reading room of the Canton Hospital A tablet over his remains is to be found in the compound of the Canton Ohristian College at Honglok,
