At present over 300,000 tons of new shipping are under construction, the Cunard Lino's own quota representing 200,000 tons comprised in 13 oil-hurning ships. The annual report of the Liver- px Underwriters' Association contains some pregnant remarks with regard to the causes of theft and pilferage, which evils, as is well known, have grown to an alarming degree not only im Great Britain but all Over the world.
