Bankers have experience in shipping affairs, and, moreover, find neither cargoes for the pledged ships to carry nor charterers for them. They have no choice but to tie them up, to their great loss. If the present situation continues, shipowners will, it is believed. become defiant and tell the bankers they can dɔ what they like with the ships,
