THE HONGKONG TELEGRAPH.
COMMERCIAL NEWS.
Now, being a little short of readers, Mr. Scribble Scratch, the fairy schoolmaster, couldn't find enough small ones to go around, so Buddy had to take a large one. But he couldn't hold it at all, not even when he used all six of his hands, or feet, or whatever it is that a fly holds things with.
THE HONG MOH WRECK.
Crew Arrives in Hongkong. On Saturday there arrived by the ss. Hydranges the Chief Officer, Second Engineer and the Chief Engineer of the ill-fated Hong Mob, from 'Swatow. The Second and third Engineers and the doctor of the vessel came here on Sunday by another boat.
In a conversation with the officers We learned that the Hong Moh left Hang- kong on the 2nd instant, at 5 o'clock in the evening, and arrived off Swatow at about 11 a.th. the next day. She could not get into Swatow as there was not enough water to go over the bar. The Hong Mob waited till 4.30 p.m. that day and as there was still no water she left for Amoy. It was on the passage to Amoy that the ship struck the rocks. She struck Boat Rocks, about three miles from Lammock: Light, at about 7.20 that same evening. By 2.30 the next morning she broke into half. At the timo that Hong Moh left Swatow weather was rough, a north-east wind blowing.

Mr. Tan Choo Ban, B.A., & military aviator from Manila, is now visiting Malayasia with a view to organising a Company whose business it will be firstly to exhibit aviation, and secondly to run a business-line with China and the Philipines by air, trans- porting passengers, mail, and goods.

Poor Soribble Beratch pulled his forelock desperately, but it didn't help a bit. "I haven't any idea," he had to confess, "but it Founded all right, didn't it ?."
(To be continued to-morrow.)
Captain Holmes was on board This ship with the other officers, except the Second Enginder, for two days after the catastrophe. On the 5th instant, the remainder of the crew, with the Captain. left the wreck and tried to swim to the Shansi. All the crew were hauled up on board the Shansi by means of ropes, but when the Captain was pulled in it was found that he was dead.
