Anthony H. G. Fokker and his wife. Folker is the inventor of the combat planes used by Germany, the type which was most feated by the Allied aviators. The young inventor has moved his manufacturing plant to Holland since the war.

Leaving St. Patrick's cathedral, New York, after attending a memorial mass in honour of MacSwiney's' memory, hundreds of Irish sympathizers mobbed the Union club on Fifth Avenue, when officials of the club refused to take down a British flag. All the street- level windows in the club were broken. The Police fought an hour to disperse the mob.
