Forty British Refugees.
Helsingfors. December 27. Forty British refugees from Russia have arrived at Hangos en route to Hall. They include Professor Sharpe Wilson of Petrograd University who should have accompanied the fire British contingent last March, but who was arrested a few days before the day of his departure and sentenced to a year's hard labour on a charge connected with two spies. Vicket Buckley and Paul Dukes. The former died in a Bolshevik prison in February and the latter went to England two years ago. Wilson is now released but condemned to be shot, but the sentence was commuted. It is hoped another Englishman named Sykes was arrested last year and
