The mounted police of London, who have been called upon recently to quell numerous riots in connection with the coal strike and other labour troubles, are kept up to the minute by drills and exhibitions. Recently at Kensington Garden the mounted police cave & wonderful exhibition of skill and horsemanship including tent pegging, jumping, "cutting of the Turks head," etc.

These two California girls, Beverly Bayard and Lorline Davis, have ridden across the continent to New York on bicycles, then ridden to Florids and crossed Cuba on a cycling tour on the island.
