Miners' Leaders Again Confer with Mr. Lloyd George.
London, October 25 The threatened railwa, strike has been postpaned.
Premier to Meet Miners.
Loadon, October 23 The Executivosol the Mizers' Federation and the Railwaymen's Union conferred to-day. The former, in thanking the railwaymen for the sympathetic strike, stated that Mr. Lloyd George bad invited the Minors' Executive to a fresh Conference and this invitation had been accepted. Therefore the Miners"Executive Kad requested the railwaymeɛ to suspend the strike, in order not to prejudice the new negotiations.
The miners representatives will meet the Government at Downing Street to-morrow morning. Therefore the railway strike has been postponed indefinitely.
Public Relief.

The news of the postpasement of the railway strike has been received with intense, relief and satisfaction by the general public and in Labour circles, particularly amongst the railwaymen.

Bombay, October 24. Strikes and rumours of strikes are the order of the day in India. The Bombay gas strite has ended, the strikers being dismissed. ·-A good tramway service is being maintained.
It is reported from Jhansi that 4,500 (?) employes of the Great Indian Peninsula Railway have struck, while serious trouble has occurred at the Buckingham Mills, Madras, where saven thousand employes have been locked out after an assault on the weaving master.
