Losdon, October 13. At the Air Conference to-day, Air Marshal Sir Edward L Thington gave an interesting forecast of the aeroplane of the future. He announced that the Air Ministry was developing two new engines. The first was a "swash plate engine" in which was an inclined disc on a shaft which replaced the ordinary crank. The second was a steam turbine, with which it was to be able to fulfil all required conditions and greatly increase cylindrical power, besides being silent.
