Wedgwood Benn, Mr. Lloyd George stated that a special meeting of the Council of the League of Nations would be beld in London on June 14, on the application of the Persian Government, to consider the situation created by the Bolshevist occupation of Eazeli. Doubtless opportunity would then be taken to consider the, dangers and difficulties in Central Europe.

GOVERNMENT DISAPPROVES THE IDEA,

In the House of Commons at question-time, Mr. Chamberlain staled that after carefully considering the suggested scheme for a lexy on war wealth in the Report of the Committee on War Wealth, the Government concluded that the dangers of such a levy altogether outweighed the advantages. It had therefore decided not to make proposals in that sense.
