Li Hon Shing was arrainged on a charge, of murdering James Laalis Speed on December 15, 1919.

The Attorney-Genaral, the Hon. Mr. J. H. Kemp, E.C., with Mr. Leo. Loogin« tto, appeared for] the Crown, and Mr. R. E Balilios was for the defence.
