The Times" correspondent at New York says that the career of Jimmy Harrigan, otherwise "Silk Mask Jim," the master burglar of Chicago, has bean dramatic- ally ended. He was arrested by the Police bat escaped and kept up a running fire with his pursuers until he fell dead, riddled with bullets. Harrigan was head of the Burglar Trust which operated on a gigantic scale, rented a large warehouse for the storage of loot, and employed a staff of experts, including women. He planned rob- beries amounting to hundreds of thousands sterling. He earned his nickname owing to his wearing a blue silk mask
