Alleged flogging of native women in Nigeria was the ground of a libel action that came before Mr. Justice Bray and a special jury in the King's Bench Division recently.
Captain Joseph F. J. Fitzpat tick, Royal Societies' Club, St. James's-street, in the service of the Nigerian Government, cla'm-) el damages from Mr. R. Barber, Furnival Press, Furnival-street: i Mr. John E Taylor, Lincoln House, High Holburn, proprietor | of The African Teleyngh; and the African Co-operative Lor; ora- tion Ltd, Lincoln House.
