REUTER'S TELEGRAMS.

[Continued from page 1J THE PRINCE OF WALES.

THE HONGKONG TELEGRAPH FRIDAY, NOVEMBER ∙14, 1919.

NEW

ADVERTISEMENTS,

HIS THANKS TO CANADA.

Ottawa, November 8. The Prince of Wales, in a speech at the Canadian Club, said that he had been given a most marvellous and enthusiastic welcome everywhere in Canada and had received the kindest hospitality, also hundreds of kind gifts and letters, including not a few from ladies, some of which were so charming that he would have liked to have been able to meet the writers. He thanked the Canadian Govern- ment for the admirable arrangements of his tour. He concluded that he was not conceited enough to regard all the great kindness and hospitality shown him as personal. He knew that they came from the whole nation, regardless of race or party and were given him as the King's son and heir. He valued them especially because they expressed the same common, sentimen: which had made Britishers stand together during the war and which would keep them solid and united for ever.
